Welcome to melo3rd.com, and thank you for taking the time to investigate. what are we doing? I am simply coordinating the next fundraising blitz for my friends in team phoenicia. The plan is to finish their lunar lander and launch it (taking high def video of the entire launch), land it ON THE MOON, send out a lunar rover, and win the google x prize

 

 

We have 5 Million dollars of donated parts and software. We have a Dream Team who can handle the rocket science and hard stuff (already handled)

 

TO DO THIS:  we are selling 4x4 inch spaces, and 1x1 inch spaces, on two gold plated, aluminum plates, that will rotate to protrude off the top of the lander, and display themselves on the moon forever. What you do with that space, whatever you fill it with, will be engraved in gold, on the moon, forever. It will also receive massive international attention on earth,  and our donors will be part of several events including the amazing launch party (read more about our fundraising). 

 

At $1000 dollars per 4x4 inch plot, WE ONLY NEED TO SELL 60 spaces before end of December 2010 -(60,000 total: 50,000 for race. 10,000 in fees for the trusted websites which will handle the donations:  amazon credit card services and kickstarter.com

 

 

 

We have 100 spaces total to sell minus anyone who purchases a single square inch for $100, so we can sell more than the required 60. Also,

Here are the facts about our launch and plan

(Follow the explanation and it won't seem as insane I promise)

1.) We are going to land this thing on the moon, deposit a rover, and (if we're first) win the Google Lunar X prize. Even if we don't make the entry fee time/land first we are going to send this thing to the moon, but winning would be fantastic.

 

2.) We are fundraising the entry fee by selling blank space for our supporters to fill on golden plated plates which will unfold ontop of the Lander and be left on the moon, and duplicated in many locations on earth. what would you write/leave behind on something that will outlast everything?

 

3.) We have an amazing team with the knowledge and experience to do this. It started 3 years ago with Will Baird, a New Mexican super computer specialist and rocket scientist extraordinair saying "I can land something on the moon" (read whole history here).

 

4.) We have already acquired many advantages:

      -We have 5 million dollars of donated parts, space and software from amazing sponsors (list)

      -We have developed a new space worthy cryo-composite 1/7th the weight of aluminum 

       (read more) which we believe will change the aerospace industry.

      -We have an incredible shop/workspace to build in, Come visit us at TechShop Menlo Park.

      -We have already built our first test lander to practice flying/landing without crashing.

 

 

5.) We are going to use our connections to bring Silicon Valley, Hollywood, and the music industry together for an unforgettable launch party. What would you think if your favorite artist left a golden copy of their record on the moon for eternity? What kind of party would that be?
